Parker Chester - Narrative/Environment Artist
Hello! My name is Parker Chester and I am the writer and artist for Wizards and Warriors.
I am in charge of the large majority the writing aspects of our game, this primarily is the lore, character info, and parts of the itch.io. I am also assisting with the design and creation of the main arena that the players will get to experience!
My goal is to support the overall experience the player will have by giving them a context to the world they are in, a reason to be invested, while also creating an environment that is filled with story telling elements to allow for further immersion within the game. One of the most important aspects we are focusing on is giving the players a sense of power and growth as they progress through waves of enemies. This aspect needs to be supported by giving them a story that gets them invested, while also feeling an attachment and growth with their companion.
In order to capture these feelings, I intend to craft a story that not only engages the players but also hypes them up for the type of progression they will experience. When it comes to environment, my goal is to create an arena that implies to the player different events that have happened before the players arrived. That the space they occupy isn't just a set for them to kill enemies, but an actual lived in location that has its own story and lore that happened long before the players arrived.
