Postmortem: Composer (Artist)
For this project, I primarily acted as Music Composer (Artist), and I did a small bit of voice acting for one of the characters.
I didn’t really make use of the Kanban board for this project. The only assigned item relevant to me had no hours listed for the estimated length of time. As far as actual hours spent on the project, I didn’t really keep track. There were several days in which I know I spent several hours, and I can tell you that I spent most of May 4th working on the project, but I didn’t keep track of the actual total number of hours.
In terms of music, things didn’t really work out the way I wanted them to. I wrote more failed songs than ones that were included in the final project, and I’m not all that happy with those songs either. Try as I might, every time I tried to write anything that could mesh with the main motif I used; be it accompaniment, earlier sections, or later sections, it was almost always a complete failure, and the final song used for the project’s battle theme didn’t turn out anything like I wanted it to. I’d say that with this project, I learned a bit more on how to use the software I have for music composition and different instruments, as well as experience in how to construct coherent music. I find myself proud of how well the other members of my team worked.
