Final Devlog!

This is the final devlog for my Coding 1 Class at WSU. I enjoyed the class immensely and I'm looking forward to sinking my teeth into new projects in the future.

The last two weeks were mostly focused on building a portfolio to show our work. While this class has been handy, I hope to have more on my portfolio in the future so that this page won't be necessary. It certainly makes for good reference.

We've learned how to take "high quality" of our game (which you can see above) and how to video our game properly (which you can see abover).

We also added sound to our game. Using BFXR, I was able to prototype quick sounds that could be added to the project in just a few minutes. Is it professional? No. Is it done? Yes. I was even able to add attenuation to the spawner sounds. It fades away with distance! I feel like I've only scrapped the surface of sounds in Unreal Engine and I'm excited to see where it goes. Sound is a too often neglected aspect of our games.

Bonsoir.
